No one will Help me at the store!!

Guys,

 

Bought an Open Box LG 26" TV this weekend.  It worked for about 30 minutes.  Screen would fade in an out.  Returned the TV that night and was given a Samsung 26" as a replacement.  As soon as it was plugged in it would turn on and off constantly.  

 

I was assured by the person at the store that all these TV's are tested.  Why wont anyone help me just get a TV that works.  It's now been 3 trips to the store and still not a working TV in sight.  

 

All i want is a TV that works.  I bought the open Box cause it fit what i wanted and they gave me a good price.  Why are they selling items that dont work?

Not only are all items tested, but were they not hooked up and working fine in the store?

The Open Box items at my Best Buy are not plugged in.  They arent hooked up at all in the store.  Thats why I had no Idea.  I trsuted the salesman.  Shame on me

The salesperson on the floor is just going off of information he has recieved from the service center's. Although this is not an excuse for the problem you are facing right now, I do want you to be aware that the salseperson is simply forwarding information to you. Next time, ask the salesperson to hook a dvd player up to the tv, there is no reason he/she will not do this

Tinker is spot on. Have the folks test the item in the store. The sales people won't have a problem doing this for you...but you MUST ask.
