Hello,

I have an Insignia TV, model #: N8-42P650A11.I am looking for a universal remote which I can program to operate both the TV I have and a set of external speakers (yet to purchase). 

Could you please help me select an appropriate universal remote which can be programmed to operate my Insignia model #? I am a little concerned that newer universal remotes won't be compatible since the TV is a bit dated now.

I have been looking at one GE remote model on Amazon which has listed the remote's program codes for various Insignia TVs, but the manufacturer doesn't provide any info on what model #'s those codes correspond to.

Hello amelia13,

Welcome to our community.  Having a universal remote control is a great way to simplify your home theater system, but it’s important that the one you purchase is compatible with as many of your devices as possible.  If you haven’t already, you may wish to take a look at these universal remotes from Insignia or Logitech.  While I can’t guarantee compatibility with an older model, these would likely be your best bet.
