Hi all,
just got a new 39" roku tv by insignia and would like to know if there is a way to watch my videos on a usb stick without having to insert the usb stick everytime I want to watch a video.
Thanks

Hello bluesy66,
Welcome to our community! We appreciate the time you’ve taken to post to our community. Wd’d be happy to see how we can help you troubleshoot this issue.
Can you please share which model of TV you have? There may be an option to do this in the menu settings, or from the Roku screen to play the content without have to reinsert the USB each time you’d like to use it.
Thanks,
Mariah

Hello bluesy66,
Thank you for sharing that with me! I believe I was able to find some settings that you may be able to change to help you further. Noted on page 54 of your manual it shares you can change when the Roku Media Player launches. This is accessed by choosing Settings > System > USB media. This will change when the Media Player launches upon detecting an USB present.
You should also be able to find the media player too on your TV’s Home screen as the Roku Media Player tile, or USB Media Player tile depending if you’re connected to the internet or not. This would be a good way to find your USB if you regularly leave it plugged into your TV.
Respectfully,
Mariah

Hello Mariah,
Got Roku media player working and usb stick stays where it is.
No more removal and re insertion issues.
Thanks for reading the manual for me.
Next time I'll do that.
