Hello, Thanks for the reply
I have an ipod touch
I am not sure about the video playback compatibility, I am not trying to play back video i only want to play music from my ipod touch
So i have a cord from the headphone jack of the ipod that splits to a left and right rca jack and it goes to the tv.
When I hook it up and go to the proper input it says no signal on the tv. I have hooked it up with a dvd player and it worked fine, while it was hook up this way i disconnected the audio from the dvd player and connected my ipod cables. I was able to get the sound this way. I am wondering if there is a way i can just hook up the ipod and listen to music. I am wanting this so I can listen to the ipod in my rv. I don't have a dvd player there and only want to listen to the music on the ipod. this is why I am trying to get this to work with the ipod and tv.
Thanks in Advance
Tom

Hello Tom,
In this case, the Video input will only work when there is a video signal being transmitted. If there is only audio, then the TV won't interpret this as a playable signal but as noise and will show the NO SIGNAL (this model does have a audio only option but is applicable only for TV input).
I think the best way to solve this (I solved it this way at home), is to have the DVD video signal connected (you can have the player display the screen saver), and the audio coming out from the iPod, this way the TV is getting a video input and will play the desired audio.
Thank you,
Gonza

Hello, I was wondering if there was a firmware update that might fix this problem for me.
