Windows 10 Connection with NS-43DF710NA19

HDMI out of Windows 10 computer works with an LG

HDMI in on NS-43DF710NA19 works with MacBook Pro

When I connect the Windows 10 PC to the NS-43DF710NA19 the computer can see the TV and lets me change resolution settings for that display but the TV continues to say "No signal detected"

Re: Windows 10 Connection with NS-43DF710NA19

Good Morning ChrisJudge,

Thank you for your patience while you had waited for our reply. Also, we’d like to welcome you to our community! We’re sorry to hear that you’re having some issues with your new 43” Insignia TV. We’d be happy to see what suggestions or insight we can shed on this for you.

Is the port on your Windows 10 PC HDCP 2.2 rated? Also, is the HDMI cord you’re using HDCP 2.2 rated as well? It sounds like it’s a compatibility related issue. Since you’re able to connect to another device using the same HDMI port the issue is most likely not the TV it’s self. We look forward to your reply to learn more about your issue.

Respectfully,

I have not been able to figure out the HDMI issue yet but going from display port to HDMI works but I am stuck at 1080p instead of 4k.

Hey, ChrisJudge,

What’s the model number of your Windows 10 PC? I’d be happy to double check to see if the HDMI port (or any other port) on it is HDCP 2.2 rated. That would get you that 4K signal you’re wanting.

Kindly,

Re: Windows 10 Connection with NS-43DF710NA19

Hello, ChrisJudge,

Thanks for your prompt reply! Can you please try to power cycle the TV while it’s connected to your laptop? This will rule out any settings related issues within the TV. Upon doing some digging, your laptop should be able to output a 4K signal to your TV. It’s connected via the HDMI 1 port on your TV, correct? Also, you’re using a 4K, HDCP 2.2 HDMI rated cord, right? Please double check that last piece, due to if you’re using an adapter of any kind that could be blocking the signal too and now allowing it to pass through. We recommend trying a different connection method, if none stipulations noted above are in play.
