Suddenly the [Insignia Model IS-DVD040924] VCR stopped working and displayed "ERR" where the time etc usually displays. The VCR tape and DVD would not eject.
--We removed the "lid." Then we removed the chassis from the circuit board.
--We used spray air and cleaned many of the gears and parts with q-tips dipped in alcohol. Belts are intact and all parts seem intact.
--Then we were able to remove the DVD. We removed some gears and other parts. We finally were able to remove the tape.
--We put all the parts back together, plugged in the VCR, and the ERR message still displays. What does ERR signify? What should we look be looking at inside the VCR?
