Sound problems. Insignia 55" TV. Model #NS-55D420NA20.

Last week I purchased the 55" Insignia TV model #NS-55D420NA20. I noticed that the sound doesn't sync with the people talking. I've tried the sound settings and that just made things worse. Then I went to the HDMI settings, switched to HDMI 2, then switched back to HDMI 1 using the remote control. This seemed to work... for a while. Then it went back to being delayed again. I need to do this 4 to 6 times a day. Any ideas before I return it?

Thanks for joining the community here, and congratulations on your new television. That sound issue must be frustrating.

 

From your post, it sounds like you are using a HDMI source. Does this happen from every source, or just one? By that I mean, does it happen though every input?

 

In addition, are you using the internal speakers on the television or an external home theater system or headphones?

 

That should help me troubleshoot this.

I have not tried different HDMI ports, but I'll give it a try.
I am using the TV's internal speakers, now sound bar etc.

Please let me know if changing the HDMI port fixed the issue. That'll let us know what our next steps should be.

I just changed it to HDMI3, I'll let you know how that works out.

My last post was 20 minutes ago. HDMI was swapped. Sound is delayed again... That's how long it lasted.

It sounds like this happens despite swapping HDMI ports. Does the same audio syncing issue happen when watching Netflix/Hulu, Blu-ray, and regular TV or just when watching certain content?

So far just regular TV. I'll give Netflix and a DVD a try tonite and/or tomorrow.
