This is an issue many of us are finding after the remote firmware update.
You will need to disable the smart HDMI settings and HCPI. If the TV senses anything connected otherwise the audio kicks in and not the picture.
Heck my 8 year old thought there was a demon in her room when the TV would turn on at 4am. She would freak out and ended up sleeping in our room for days... Thanks Best Buy/Insignia.
But, it is an easy fix... Hope this helps.

Did you mean the HDMI CEC Controls? When my husband and I got a new 4K TV, It worked like it was possesed , all of our devices kept fighting with the TV to change inputs and so forth , I eventually turned it off to prevent it from doing it as it was really getting annoying.

Yes the very same.
Some TVs handle it better then others. The new firmware made a mess of things... It was supposed to update the remote but it turned the TV into a late night ghost according to my 8 year old daughter...

I found it by dumb luck rooting around. But, found this...
At page 21 it has reference to In Link (CEC) HDMI HCMI settings..
I would disable all of it and see if that solves your issue as it solved mine.
