I want to know if you are able to setup the TV with wifi and everything if you do not have original remote? I lost the remote and want to know if I'll be able to setup all functions with a universal remote.  I was told I need original remote to setup all functions then I could use a universal remote? Someone please help I have TV BUT CANNOT WATCH!

You certainly need the fire TV remote for setup and for a full experience. You can buy a remote from our website here. 

Also, you will need to create an Amazon account during the setup process.

Once you are all done, download the fire TV app from Google play or Apple store to your smart device. I call this "my backup remote."
