Roku TV won't restart after software update

Opened up my new 39" Insignia Roku TV yeterday, first step when I turn it on is to connect to wifi, then it peforms a software update.

 

It says it will restart after the update ... but it doesn't. And it won't turn on when I press the power button. I tried unplugging it and it just brings me back to step one where I have to connect to wifi.

 

I tried updating the software through the USB drive and had the same issue.

 

Any ideas what I can do to fix this?

The model number is NS-39DR510NA17

I also tried resetting the tv to factory settings (got to the menu by skipping WiFi setup) and that did not help.

Given what you describe and the steps you've taken not having resulted in success, I would recommend that you return the TV to the retailer for an exchange. I apologize for the inconvenience.
