I have model number 42P650A11. I'm using a universal remote and the menu > setup doesn't give me the option to select plug and play like I've read in most posts as the solution. My input is hdmi for my cable box.

Welcome to Community@ Insignia™!

With that model TV, you will need to change from the HDMI input that you currently have selected, to the TV input. You will then be able to select the Plug and Play selection, which will walk you through to the point of turning off Retail Mode. Once finished, change the input back to your HDMI selection, and you should be in business.
