I am having this identical issue with my Insignia TV model no. NS-39D240A13 on V2.00 firmware version. Any suggested quick fixes? I cen enter "EXIT" on the remote to make the problem go away but it's a major nuisance since I'm typically using the Cable TV remote only.

Thank you for posting to our community! We’re sorry to hear that you’re having a similar issue as another user. We’d be happy to see what other troubleshooting suggestions we can offer to you. However, due to the age of your TV it may be an internal component issue that may be on verge of going out.
Can you please try to power cycle your TV? You’re able to this by unplugging your TV from the outlet and of it’s components (DVD Players, Cable Set Top Box, etc.) for a few minutes. Then connect to power first then the components. This is like clearing the cache and cookies in your browser, but for your TV. If you’re still experiencing the issues, you can attempt to factory reset your TV. I’m not seeing that one is called out specifically in the manual, but I’d be happy to do some more research if we need to go that route. I look forward to learning how power cycling goes for you.
