I am having the same issue and can't figure out how to turn off Smooth Motion on the TV. I called insignia support but they had no clue what Smooth Motion was or even when I described it as the soap opera effect. Could you tell me where you were on the Roku home screen when you pressed the * button. That doesn't seem to work for me.
