Re: Picture too big for screen on 42" Insigna TV

Hello ldmiddleton,

Welcome to Community@ Insignia™!

Can you provide the model number for your TV? It should start with NS-. What devices do you have connected to the TV, and how do they connect?

Depending on the model, you can press the zoom or aspect button on the remote a few times to cycle through aspect ratio settings. Depending on what type of signal you are getting will depend on what setting works for you. Usually the wide or cinema settings will properly fit the screen. If those don't fit, set the TV aspect ratio setting to normal. Is the screen still being cut off, even if the picture is only being displayed in a smaller portion of the screen?

If so, leave the TV set on the normal setting and adjust the aspect ratio in your source device. If you have cable or satellite, look on their remote for a zoom, aspect or format button. Contact your provider if you are unable to get it adjusted down.

Hello idmiddleton,

Thank you for responding!

Thank you for providing that additional information. Were you able to try adjusting the aspect ratio of the TV as described in my previous post? If so, did that fix the issue? If not, you will need to adjust the aspect in the source device that you are watching.
