I recently received 3 24" Insignia Fire TVs for use in my workplace. I am needing to lock them down so students can only use them for viewing VHS and DVDs at our viewing stations. I've got everything locked down with a PIN...perhaps too locked down. Any time a student goes to rewind a VHS tape or pauses a DVD for too long, the TV decides to lock them out of view. This forces either myself or one of our student workers to go over and re-enter the PIN. I want the our users to be able to pause and rewind as needed for taking notes and such, but there doesn't seem to be any give to the parental controls.
Any suggestions would be very welcome! Thanks in advance!

Thanks for joining our community, and for using Insignia products fro education. That's awesome.
Is this the PIN for the television itself, or is it the PIN on your Amazon Prime Video account? In addition, could you please confirm the model number on those televisions? I'd like to check and see if I can offer any advice that may help.

The model is NS-24DF310NA19. This is the PIN under parental controls, specifically for "Broadcast Movie Ratings" and "Broadcast TV ratings". I haven't done anything to specify restrictions on a type of input, outside of streaming. I haven't read anything that would indicate that the settings I've chosen would cause this type of problem for an external input like a VHS player or DVD player, but it might not be something that is typically thought about.

Thanks for getting back to me with those details. I checked, and it looks like your best bet is to give Insignia support a call on this. We can be reached at (877) 467-4289. If there is a solution to help with this, the folks at our support line should be able to help out.
