so is it safe to assume since this tv is outdated there has been no firmware update made? so i guess we r just supposed to go buy another tv and disreguard the how ever many dollars we spent when wwe first purchased the tv? even if it were only 2 yers ago? so you also mean to tell me that u manufacter and distribute tv with a shelf life of 2 years???? i could be wrong... im just uspet that i cant fix my 48 in smart tv in my living room... and its ruining my living room entertainment. and i dont have it to purchase a 50 in smart tv... is it ANYWHERE ON THE PLANET I can find this update??

Generally, whenever an item is discontinued, firmware updates usually cease shortly after. That said, it may not always be the case. I'd recommend contacting Insignia™ Support for a more concrete answer on this matter.
