Hello. I lost my tv remote. It's for an insignia NS40D420NA18.
I'm running the TV for a monitor on my computer, as it's big and works well with it. I have no other options.
But when I switch on my tv for my monitor, the picture stretches accross the screen out of range, and my mouse will dissapear off the sides of the TV. I want to adjust the monitor so it fits the screen, but the tv itself has only 1 button with 1 function: Power on and off.
What do I do? The remote is not with me, it's burried under a bunch of boxes in the storage that I am not currently allowed to access until we rent another house. I am trying remote tv options, but not sure if they will work. I also don't know what universal remote will work with my tv, as I don't have the finances to just spend on dozens of remotes.

Welcome to our community, bnthomason.
You should be able to adjust how your desktop appears on your TV by adjusting the computer settings. Many computers include a software tool for the graphics card that should allow you to make any needed tweaks to your desktop dimensions.
Alternatively, for assistance acquiring a replacement Insignia remote control for your TV, I recommend contacting Insignia Support at (877) 467-4289 for assistance troubleshooting your tablet.
I hope this helps. If you have additional questions or concerns, please be sure to let us know.
