Insignia roku tv, main screen black

Hi, when we turn on our tv, the main screen is black. Luckily we can get to our direct tv, but we can't get to any other options, such as our DVD player, roku, Netflix, etc. Help, please

Hello DebbieCas,

 

Thank you for sharing your TV’s model number with us. Have you attempted to power cycle your TV to see if that resolves the issue? I’ve noted the steps below on how to do that:

 

-Unplug the power cord from the back of your TV

-Disconnect the cables between the TV and any connected device

-Allow the TV to sit unplugged for 1-2 minutes

-Plug the TV’s power cord back in, reconnect any other devices, and then turn them back on

 

If you continue to have issues I highly recommend trying to reset the TV back to the factory settings. You can reset it via the MENU settings by choosing Settings > System > Advanced system settings > Factory reset. If you’re unable to get to MENU on your TV then there’s a button noted on page 15 of your owner’s manual that you can push with a pin to reset it. You’d need to hold this button for 15 seconds. You can review your manual here. Please let us know if you’re continuing to have an issue after trying these two steps, and we’d be happy to see what other suggestions we can make at that time.
