Insignia TV unable to pair to Amazon Remote; maybe on demo mode?



I purchased an Insignia 50" Fire TV from Best Buy a few months ago.  The TV was one of the demo TVs and did not come with a remote, so I also purchased an Amazon Remote with it.  I mainly use the TV for gaming on my PS4 with my headset and I'm pretty busy since I'm in law school, so I never really followed up with this, but I was never able to connect the remote to the TV.  I'm only able to turn the TV on and off using the power button, which is the only button on the TV. 


The TV doesn't play any sound either, which is part of the reason I figured it may still be on demo mode.  I also did the steps to pair the Amazon Remote as listed on this website (holding the menu, back, and left buttons at the same time), but that didn't work either.


I was wondering if anyone could please help me with this; it would be a huge help if I don't have to unmount the TV and take it back to the store.

For this query, I recommend contacting Insignia Support at (877) 467-4289 for assistance troubleshooting your TV in real time. Our support team should be able to ensure the remote you purchased is compatible with your TV and make recommendations if it for some reason it is not.
