Tina 123
as a direct TV subscriber with that EXACT model of remote RC23
for the direct TV RC23.... the 10463 code didnt work??
try the codes for Sansui as well...
I joined this forum to see if said codes are only for powering on & off / volume / changing channel while in TV mode.
but havent gotten an answer on if the TV Input can be programmed as well.
Up till now ive been using the insignia remote to cycle through my devices hooked up to the other HDMI ports ...
so like you im using 2 remotes

Hello smarist6911,
Most universal and cable remotes can only control the basic aspects of most TVs: power on/off, channel up/down and volume up/down.
Sometimes you may get other functionality; unfortunately there's no workaround to this other than using both remotes.

Hi John,
Thanks for the message. I'm not sure if I have the right details but here goes. I have a tv, model NS LCD26A and just got Comcast digital cable. The remote instruction book says 'Comcast Custom DVR 3 Device'. Only other info I found was the code ABS2812 on remote and Motorola DC870 on the box. I can't find anything else. Is this enough info to get a code to work TV with the Comcast remote? Thanks!

Actuually the fix here wasnt plugging in endless numerous codes, hoping & praying It was to get a better universal remote..
Wont mention competitor's names however it is CLEARLY sold at best buy AND IT WORKS like it should.
Costs a few $$ and you need your PC for code entries via it's sync cable & *internet (*to download updates)
There are no button codes to sit & waste time with. Your Model number of said device enter it into the software SYNC it --> and IT WORKS!!!! ALL BUTTONS mainly the INPUT WORKS!!! so toggle between HDMI's !! is indeed a reality!
Sold at best buy so were not out to bite the hand that feeds us. Just the ridiculous answer I got that remotes should only do half of what they're supposed to per the Insignia way on some remotes and use 2 remotes instead...
Silly ! and it wasn't a satisfactory answer.
game on and when my Samsung comes back from the Samsung repair centre this insignia I will donate to charity this INSIGNIA and its funkadelic weird acceptance of 2 remote stance shall be someone else's worries
peace...from NYC
