Today my TV went dark. I checked all of my connections, event plugged in a different TV which works off the cable / HDMI etc. Really disapointing since its only 2+ years
Any suggestions?

If you bring a flashlight up close to the television, can you better see the picture on the screen? If so, that’s likely a backlight that’s gone out.
You’ll want to call Insignia support at (877) 467-4289 to see what troubleshooting or repair options may be available.

Hi, yes I've used a light as described and can faintly see a picture

Thanks for trying that. As I said, that indicates a backlight issue.
Please give Insignia Support a call to see what options there are for this.
