I purchased an Insignia Fire Tv back in December.  When I went to set it up at the beginning of February in my new house it was missing the remote.  Best Buy told me I had passed the date of any return, missing parts, etc. so I bought a new remote.  It was the Amazon replacement remote.  It doesn't seem to want to pair with my FireTv.  Any suggestions?

Is this the remote that you bought for the television? If so, and if it still isn't working, please share the model number of your television. If you bought another remote, please share that remote's model number.
