Insignia Fire Tv Not Connecting To Network Switch

I've had this Insignia Fire Tv for awhile (Model No:NS-50DF710NA19) and am moving it away from the router where it was connected via CAT 6 cable to its new home on an entertainment center. To facilitate not running a bunch of long cables I added a 5 port network switch to connect everything wired. After running all cables PS4 and X-BOne connect to the switch with no problems but the Fire TV is acting like the cable is disconnected.


I've tried rebooting tv and switch, several different Ethernet cables, and tried a different spare network switch still no response, not even getting an indicator light on the switch. Even did a Factory Reset on the TV to no avail. Though if I use the line directly to the router(The one connecting the switch) it connects. If someone could help me figure out a solution besides running another long cable it would be much appreciated.


P.S. The reason I'm not doing wireless 1. so much less lag when streaming from other local devices, 2. I live in an apartment that is very congested with wireless signals where devices lose/have degraded signal constantly.
