Hello, I bought an Insignia Fire TV a few days ago and the remote does not work properly. It works fine for a few mintues and then stops responding at all. If I change the batteries it will work again, but only for a few minutes. I have to constantly keep changing the batteries for it to work. I do not need to put in a new set of batteries, only take them out and put them back in again. I am using brand new batteries.
I have re-paired the remote, and it makes no difference.

You've taken the proper steps with the remote. I would recommend contacting Insignia for further troubleshooting and support at (877) 467-4289.
In the meantime, you can also control the TV by downloading the Amazon Fire TV App to your smartphone or tablet from Google play or Apple store.
