i recently bought an insignia 58 inch fire tv and its having intermittent sound drop issues while watching. the sound settings in the menu is greyed out completely.
Tried the following
1. software update
2. power cycle
3. restarting through the menu
Normally waiting for 10 more minutes and leaving it idle brings the volume back but this is unacceptable. any fix or should i return the tv?

Hi, Karthick_c,
Thanks for joining our community. Having the sound drop out on your television is never a good experience.
I have a couple questions about your setup that may help us troubleshoot this. First, are you using the TV's sound, or an external surround system or soundbar?
Second, does this happen whether you're watching television or a movie through separate sources, or does it only happen from one specific source?
Sincerely,

Hi, Karthick_c,
If it is happening regardless of input, and with internal speakers, you'll want to give Insignia's support line a call at (877) 467-4289 to see if any additional troubleshooting is possible.
Sincerely,

I have ordered for "Insignia 58 Class LED 2160p Smart 4K UHD TV with HDR Fire TV Edition" TV on 27 Nov 2019 and received it in 2-3 days. I have been using it for 15 days and I have noticed frequent sound cut issues in it. I tried to reset the device once based on solutions suggested on internet but still same issue.

You need to call on 1-888-237-8289 and explain the issue. Bestbuy will tranfer the call to Inignia product support team and the they re-verify the issue and try to fix it. If still its not fixed then they will ask for replacement.
If you ordered it online, they will bring the tv to your home and take the defective one. In case of store purchase i think you need to take the tv to store. Rest you can ask for home delivery over call as well.
