I have a Insignia 55” Fire TV edition. Today Alexa stopped responding to my commands. When I press the microphone button, alexa activates on the TV (that horisontal blue line pops up, and the TV beeps). But whatever I say there is no response. I do have other alexa devices in my household and they do work fine. Just the one on the TV doesn't work. Whatever command I issue, nothing happens. I press the microphone button > the TV beeps, blue line shows up > I say a command and let go of the microphone button > blue line goes away, TV beeps again > nothing happens. Any ideas?

Welcome to our community! We sincerely appreciate your post about your Insignia 55-inch television. A connected home is very exciting and I understand how inconvenient it may be that Alexa doesn’t seem to be working with your TV now. I’d be happy to offer some troubleshooting advice.
We’d recommend trying to power cycle the TV. If that doesn’t work, can you please review our floated post here on syncing your remote with your TV? Those instructions also include directions on how to reset your TV back to the factory settings, as well.

Didn't work. I did factory reset on both, but the problem is still present. My best guess is that the microphone on the remote is dead. Is there any way to confirm this without getting a new remote?
