I purchased a new Insignia NS-22D420NA18 (Rev A) just six months ago. I have just tried to attach my computer (a 2018 MacBook Air) via HDMI cable so that I can watch iTunes movies and TV shows on the Insignia. However, when I tried to watch anything I've purchased on iTunes, I get an error message saying:
"This movie can be played only on displays that support HDCP"
I've tried updating all of my Macbook Air software, reinstalling the HDMI Display Link connector, contacting Display Link support, unplugging and plugging in the HDMI connector, swapping out to a different HDMI cable, and powering down my television and rebooting it.
Please note: I do not have another computer to try this on; nor do I have another television, so I can't use that method for troubleshooting.
It seems to me that this is likely an issue with the Insignia television. Can any Insignia support staff advise on how to fix?
