This is exactly what I have, no matter the setting content like HDR Mandalorian and Witcher are completely unwatchable. It's absolutely absurd. My Pixel 2, old 1080p dynex tv, and my gaming PC of course all display everything properly.
The issue is ovious when looking at a thumbnail whith in the app but when watching the HDR content its completely dark.

Bestbuy would not accept responsibility for the TV. I was told to call insignia.

Why is this marked as SOLVED? It is not solved. As of today, the dark display problem with HDR streaming content is still a serious issue. All HDR content is unwatchable. I am so disappointed in this TV -- it is marked as a "4K HDR" TV but it cannot display any HDR video. Is there an actual true fix or can I return and exchange this TV for a different model?

Hi, all,
As Mariah mentioned earlier in this thread, if you have this issue please contact Insignia support at (877) 467-4289. That team is best positioned to help you out with your screen displaying dark during HDR content.

Kyle R, this is so frustrating. Let me preface by saying I am located in Canada. I called Insignia Support (1-877-467-4289) as you suggested. The rep took my info regarding the dark screen with HDR content problem and said they would be sending a technician to my home. Once he realized I was in Canada he transferred the call to Best Buy Canada. I pressed 4 for support with Insignia products and that transferred the call back to Insignia Support (1-877-467-4289) in the US. This is a merry-go-round of nonsense.
