Brand New Insignia. Volume was working, now will not work

We bought a brand new Insignia- 50” Class- LED- 2160p- Smart- 4K UHDTV w HDR - Fire TV EDITION tonight. Got it put up on the wall and was setting the TV up. The volume worked perfectly fine on Fire TV as well as our Xfinity channels. Chose a movie to watch on HBO Now using Fire TV and now volume will not work. I pressed nothing but to watch the movie on HBO Now.
I have gone to settings- Audio Output- “turn on built in Speakers” but it won’t let me turn them on.
Please help. Getting frustrated.

Please try the following. These steps should help you get the best audio from your new Insignia Fire TV Edition:

  • Press and hold the Home button on your voice remote and select Sounds to access audio settings for your TV. Sounds settings apply to all inputs.
  • Use the sliders to set custom levels for BassTreble, and Balance. You can also turn the TV speakers On and Off.
  • Sound Mode - Select from available presets designed to optimize audio for Music or Movie and more.
  • From the Fire TV Home screen, select Settings > Display & Sounds for more options, such as Audio Output.

Thank you for your help.
Unfortunately I held down the HOME button and it only shows “inputs” “apps” “sleep timer” and “picture”.
I’ve also gone to “Display & Sounds”. The “sound Settings” option isn’t even available. So I went to the “Audio Output” option. The TV Speakers are set to “off”. I can’t do anything to get them turned to on.
Digital Audio Format is set to “Auto”.
Only option geek squad from BestBuy AND Insignia people gave me was to return to the TV to Best Buy for another.
Seems like the should be something to be done to fix this.
