Bought a NS-19D220NA16-A LED TV on January 6, 2018. This afternoon it won't turn on.

Hello.

We bought an NS-19D220NA16-A LED TV on January 6, 2018 from Best Buy. This afternoon it won't turn on. I tried doing the power reset and that didn't work. Please advise.

Hello kleefaj,

Welcome to the Best Buy Support Online Forum Community! Thank you for taking the time out of your day to post to us, and read over some of our suggestions to other customers that experience some similar issues. I’d be happy to provide some further troubleshooting, and further advice if it doesn’t work for you.

Have you tried a different outlet? Are you seeing any lights on the TV blinking? At this time it may be best to visit your local Best Buy with your TV for Geek Squad to take a look at it under your manufacturer’s warranty. You can schedule an appointment here with Geek Squad.

Respectfully,

Thank you for the reply, Mariah.

I plugged the TV into another outlet this morning and it came on! I would think the problem is the original outlet but I have another TV plugged into it and it's working.

My concern is that (I'm guessing here) if the power supply in the Insignia gets too hot it'll shut down again. Any thoughts?

We'll keep an eye on it but I'm still a bit concerned.

Hello kleefaj,

I’m happy to hear that your TV is working! It’s possible that outlet was experiencing a surge, or higher than normal voltage but now it's not. Did you recently have storms over the weekend?

Have you thought about investing in a surge protector to protect your TV & other connected devices? Like this one or this one listed on BestBuy.com. I highly suggest a surge protector since it could help mitigate this issue in future, but also protects your TV from those variances that our outlets can experience.

Respectfully,

Mariah
