Tv flashes on and flickers a picture menu and goes black. You can here clicking as you change apps on screen and you can hear movie but can't see it. I have tried resetting button and changing hdmi cords and unplugged overnight and me sure all cords were tight

Try shining a bright flashlight at the screen when it's on. If you can see the picture/menu with a light shining on it, odds are the backlight is failing/has failed. In most cases, the backlight is part of the screen assembly, and would be cost prohibitive to replace. Repairs could be covered if the TV is still under factory warranty or a geek squad protection plan.
