toshiba tv black screen/warranty

bought a 50 in toshiba probably a bit over a year ago now. just last week the tv started acting up. after turning on for a few moments the tv will black out. i was wondering if the warranty would cover this and also if there is any resolve to this issue if anyone else has experienced it. thanks.

If you have the Geek Squad Protection plan then they should be able to get a tech out there to look at it. I'd call 1-800-433-5778 and see if they can help you.

Giving Geek Squad a call would be the best option available. As bataviakid, shared it’s possible that you may have a Geek Squad Protection Plan for your purchase and typically these kinds of issues would be covered under that plan. A manufacturer’s warranty wouldn’t be an option available if your TV is more than a year old.
