Why do the dates TVs will be in store keep getting pushed back

I was lookign at the Samsung UNJS8500 and it looks the are sold out near the Framingham MA area. At first it said they would be back in stores on Jan 3rd, then the 9th, then it was 11th, and now its the 13th. Why does this date keep getting futher away?

If I went into a store and got delivery, would it come sooner or would I have to wait until they got in stock at my store before they will deliver it?

Re: Why do the dates TVs will be in store keep getting pushed back

Hi dlang,

Thanks for reaching out to us with your availability concern. I am discouraged to hear that the date of restock for this TV may keep changing, and I understand how frustrating that may be. It’s a great TV that you have chosen, and I personally wouldn’t want to wait either!

Have you received any updates on this since you last posted with us? After reviewing the Framingham, MA store and their inventory, it seems this TV should now be available. I would highly suggest getting in contact with them once more for an update, if you haven’t done so already.

Feel free to let me know how that goes!

Sincerely,

Re: Why do the dates TVs will be in store keep getting pushed back

Mysteriously, I'm experiencing the same problem in Pittsburgh.
The "available" date for the UN48JS8500 moves ahead everyday.
I first starting noticing the date in early January. The  "available" date for my closest store in Pittsburgh (and most of the other stores) has now backed up to mid-February.

It makes you wonder if this is some kind of ruse.

In my experience I suspect that tv was oversold during the Holidays or they're already making the new 2016 "K" models
