I know there is a cable that lets me connect my lg android to my tv. Is there one that lets me charge while connected?

Is the cable you want to use USB Your USB connection on your TV should be powered and it should charge your phone.

I havent bought the cable yet. I thought it needed to be hdmi to display my phone on my tv. But most are just that, and dont allow you to charge while watching.

I think the only way you could do it via HDMI is to have a phone that can charge cordless.  Which is a feature of some of the newer phones.

There are even a few phones out there now that have an HDMI port on them.
