Each morning I wake up I hit the power on button on the comcast remote, turning the Fire TV and the soundbar on. I have already slected the option on the Fire TV to go to last input when I turn it on (which is HDMI1 for my cable), but recently the TV keeps turning on with the Fire TV homepage, making me have to get the Fire remote and scroll down to find HDMI1. Why won't the TV turn on anymore with HDMI1? All I want is to press one power button in the morning to turn the TV on and watch the news and get the forecast, not have to scroll around and find different inputs. Very aggravating!

Good Afternoon and Welcom, dpr4473,
Thanks for reaching to us with your Toshiba Fire TV help request. We’d be delighted to see how we can assist or get you pointed in the correct direction. To do that, we’d need some more information. Can you please share which model of TV you have? We’d be happy to review the manual to see if there’s a setting you can do to re-enable the last input setting. We look forward to your reply!

You should be able to update this setting by choosing Settings > Display & Sounds > Power On and change the setting to Last Input to prevent the TV from loading the home screen every time. It’s been noted that the feature tends to be changed, or needs to be reset after installing updates. I hope those options I noted above help you resolve the issue you’re having.

I did that on the first day I set the TV up. I checked again, and the setting is actually still set on "Last Input," but for the past couple weeks it keeps starting on the Home page for whatever reason. I've restarted the TV but that doesn't solve the problem.

Can you please share if you’ve power cycled your TV? This includes unplugging the TV then plugging it back in. This should clear-up any cached information that’s preventing the TV from performing as it should. You may also need to reset the TV back to factory settings.
It appears that this may be a known issue as articulated on another forum community, but we'd be unable to say for certain that is the same issue. The information available there is that Amazon is working on a fix to be implemented in the next firmware update.

Yes, I have power cycled the TV sevearl times.
I'm hesitant of the factory default, though, as I would then have to go back and get my personal preferences and such adjusted again.

We sincerely appreciate your willingness to share what you’ve tried. I’d recommend connecting with Amazon’s support team to see if they can shed some further light on this matter. They’d be positioned to officially confirm if it’s an “known issue” and when/how a fix would be implemented to remedy it.
