Thanks for joining our community to share your issue with your Toshiba Fire TV. We’d also like to thank you for your patience on this matter. I’d be happy to offer a few troubleshooting recommendations.
Have you called your cable provider to double check that the signal you’re receiving is at least HD? It’s possible that you may need to upgrade your service or cable setup box if you have one to get the most of your TV. Since the issues aren’t present when streaming it’s highly unlikely the root of the issue is the TV.
