So I have a Toshiba 32 inch/ 720 hp fire tv edition and I've had it for about two months. It was fine for the first month until it started randomly changing inputs on me. I could be watching a movie or show on Netflix, or even playing my PlayStation, and it switches to the 'fire tv' screen and takes a while before it goes to the home screen, where I have to switch back to my HDMI, just for it to do it all over again. I don't know why it's doing what it's doing, and I have tried restarting the tv all over again, but still nothing and I don't know what to do anymore...

Hi there, chassy502,
Welcome to our Best Buy community forum! While I wish you had discovered us under happier circumstances, I'm glad you took the time to share this with us. We want your new TV to be a source of joy and relaxation, but I can understand how that would be tough when the TV keeps randomly changing the input on you.
I would get frustrated with that as well! Have you checked out our Home Theater Troubleshooting Guide? If you haven't, I recommend giving those tips a try, as they can correct a variety of common TV concerns.
If that doesn't do the trick, I think the concern might have to do with the HDMI-CEC setting, but I would need to know the exact model of your Toshiba Fire TV, so I can look into that possibility further.

Thanks for providing me with that info. While the HDMI-CEC setting is meant to make it easier to switch between inputs when wanted, it seems to be misunderstanding what you're wanting, and probably would be best to turn that setting off at this point.
You can turn off that feature pressing the "Menu" button, navigating down and going to "Options". In the "Options" you should see "HDMI CEC Control Setup", where you would then set both the TV Auto Power and Auto Standby Power to off. If you don't see HDMI CEC as an option, it might also be named CE-Link or Regza Link.
I hope that turning off that feature helps! However, if you want to explore this further, I recommend reaching out to Toshiba, by calling (800) 457-7777.
