My old Toshiba was in the same spot and picked up more than 20 channels using an RCA antenna. All I did was replace the old with the new Fire TV and now I only get 11 channels. I don't get all of the national channels. I get PBS 1, but not PBS 2. I have scanned, rescanned, moved the antenna numerous times, etc. I still get a large number of channels on the old tv that I moved to another room. What gives?
Thanks!

Hey there, newtv44!
Welcome to our Best Buy Community Forums! We can only imagine you frustration being ready to watch your brand new TV and it doesn’t display the channels that your old one did. We get it. But from the situation you’re describing, it sounds like your older television had a effective digital converter. Most newer television like your Toshiba may have an internal antenna, it may not be as effective of picking up channels with an HDTV signal. Would you consider perhaps a HDTV Antenna? Check out a few that we carry in store, or online.
Please let us know if we can be of further assistance.
Wesley

Thank you for your response. I purchased an HDTV 4K antenna yesterday. It rasied the number of channels from 11 to 22. Better, but it's still missing channels. At least this time I have some of the important channels that I want.
