I just bought a smart TV a few years ago that has a handful of built-in apps, and to be honest, I'm pretty in love with the convenience of having those streaming services ready whenever I turn on my TV; there's no need for a second remote! I'm sorry to hear your remote buttons aren't working properly.
So you're aware, this community is intended to support our customers here in the United States. However, a general piece of advice I can offer is that third party remotes with special input buttons (such as for an application or feature) may not work with all TVs. If the remote you're referencing did not come in the box with your TV, I'd double-check to make sure it's compatible with your particular model number. If it was included in the packaging, though, I'd recommend that you reach out to Best Buy Canada or contact the manufacturer of your TV to see what troubleshooting steps they can offer.
