Hello I am very disappointed. I purchased a Toshiba 50 inch Fire TV Jan last year. The remote stopped working 6 months into the purchase. I called Best Buy to see if they could help me, I was told I had to call Toshiba. Toshiba told me I had to speak with Best Buy. After getting the run around. I finally just decided to use an app on my phone. My TV started acting up and I had to factory reset it now I can’t use the remote to set it up. I have called Toshiba and Best Buy and NO ONE seems to be able to help me just replace it with a compatible remote. Where is the humanity? If you spent hundreds of dollars on a TV you should be able to get some kind of solution. This is horrible.

If you reach out to Toshiba with the model number, they should be able to provide you with a replacement remote. If that doesn't work, you would need to look into getting a universal remote. I did they could not replace my remote because the warranty is up. But what I can’t understand is why they simply can’t let me purchase one. Not sure if the universal remotes can pair with the TV

I am happy to see jdogg was able to find the replacement for you. Often times I have to turn to 3rd party sites such as eBay and Amazon to find aftermarket remotes.

They are not easy to find.

I ordered a remote off of Amazon which I had to return because it was not able to pair. Many of them by Amazon says not compatible with Fire TVs so you are correct. I am getting a remote today and if that doesn’t work I will order the one above. Thanks for your help.

I got a remote from a parts store. It was Toshiba and it worked. Thanks again!
