I havent reset the tv yet. I dont want to have to re sign into all my apps again. I mean its 2 weeks old, it shouldnt be happening.

Hey Jtk123456,

 

That's totally understandable.  The troubleshooting steps I was referring to were removing the batteries from your remote and trying to press each button to ensure nothing is stuck underneath the plastic covering.  You can also try to update the TVs firmware to the latest version through the system menu to see if that rectifies the problem.

Oh, yes. Tv is up to date and no buttons are stuck. I can hear the tv make a click when i press the button, but the menu doesnt appear. If i press all the buttons across and hit the menu button last the menu appears on the screen. Ill mess with it more when i get home from work.

Thanks for letting me know.  Hopefully some experimenting with the TV will fix things up, but you can also try power cycling the TV (which won't reset your logins) by unplugging the TV for a few minutes and then re-connecting it to the power source.  You are also welcome to contact Toshiba's support teams at (800) 457-7777 to see what troubleshooting steps they can offer you in real-time.

I bought my Toshiba 43 inch 4K tv on Black Friday last month. Everything was fine until last week. My tv wouldn't connect to my internet even thought the router is less than a foot away, So I had to Factory reset it, and now it won't go pass the searching for the remote screen, I can choose the language and nothing else. I have tried every single button press combination to date and nothing.

 

When I press and hold the home button the whole remote stops working except the power button. I even got the replacement remote today an hour ago and still nothing. Is it the tv or what?

My 55 Fire TV is also intermittent. When i turn it on if says no internet connection but i can access the option to retry as the remote does not work except to turn off and on. Talked to Toshiba and they indicated i may want to take it back. after i reset the TV by unplugging it seemed to work again, but a few hours later i had the same issue. Also, the Alexa button does not always work even though it is connected. I had a 50" that i returned that seemed to work, but not i really wonder.

Welcome our community! Thank you for sharing that those troubleshooting steps did work for you, but it didn’t remedy the issues long term. I’d be happy to provide some further advice on this for you.

 

Can you please share the model number of your TV? I’d be happy to double check if it’s one the ones Geek Squad is responsible for servicing the warranty on it.
