I also purchased a Toshiba Fire TV, the remote was working, but while I was setting an Echo Dot up to pair with the fire tv, I ended up doing a factory reset. Everything works fine now, but except for channel guide, prime video, Netflix, CTV, crave buttons, which all stopped working. I’ve restarted the TV, replaced the battery, checked the firmware update, nothing fix the remote. What else can I do to resolve this issue?

Hey, StillNotWorking,
Thanks for letting us know that you’re having a similar issue as Maneesh and welcome to our community. Did you try rolling your remote on a hard surface button side down? Additionally, can you please clarify if you reset the TV or the echo dot? I look forward to your reply to see what additional advice we can share with you.

Since you suggested it, I just rolled the remote on a hard surface, now only the power button works! People, DO NOT roll your remote on a hard surface!
And I reset the TV, echo dot is working fine. Now i can’t access any of the menu.

Hello, StillNotWorking,
Can you please try to roll your remote again? Please note, it’s best to remove the batteries first. This troubleshooting step shouldn’t cause the remote to stop working as it did in your case. Also, can you please share what model of Toshiba Fire TV you have? I’d be happy to see if we can offer any additional troubleshooting advice for you.

Respectfully,
I just removed the batteries and rolled it again. Still only the power button is working. I contacted Toshiba Canada, but they told me BestBuy gets this model directly from Toshiba USA, so they can’t help, and told me contact BestBuy instead.
The model I purchased is Toshiba 43" 4K UHD HDR LED Smart TV (43LF621C19) - Fire TV Edition
again, the remote was partially working before rolling it. I tried different batteries as well. I wish you hadn’t suggested to roll it on a hard surface.
