Hi folks, 

I just got an 43lf421u21 TV and I love almost everything about it, except it's not letting me adjust the volume on my soundbar via optical cable.  Any suggestions?  Can I program the remote to work my sound bar?

Welcome to our community! Upgrading your home theater is exciting, and I'm glad to hear that this new Toshiba TV has been a great addition! I can understand the ease of having one remote for your home theater, and I would be glad to assist with however possible.

You mentioned that you had connected your soundbar via digital optical audio cable. Have you had the chance to try to connect it via HDMI/ARC jack? This change may allow you to control the soundbar from the included TV remote for this model.

If this change doesn't let you control it from that remote, you may want to consider adding a universal remote that can pair with multiple devices to your home theater setup.
