Toshiba 43” Fire Smart TV

Hello, didn't want to beat a dead horse on forums but I've just obtained a Toshiba Fire Smart TV model 43lf621u19 serial #{removed per forum guidelines} from a friend purchased in September 2019 made in May 2019. Have run all the tricks on here and on the internet to connect to my WIFI 30MBS on Spectrum. Is the issue with my low MBS or an internal issue? I run another Tv off a Firestick 4K and have no issues, thanks!

Welcome to our Best Buy community forum! We know that your TV is important to you, so I'm sad to learn that you're having trouble connecting your Toshiba Fire Smart TV to your Wi-Fi through Spectrum. 

 

That said, I'm glad you took the time to share this with us so we can step in and try to help. For me to get started, can you please elaborate on what happens when you try to connect that unit to the internet?

Try connecting comes up but remote control can’t change fields. Unplugged and keep trying over and over. Eventually I an get it to work but only after unplugging over and over

Hugginsdon,

 

While I'm happy to hear that you've found a way to get the TV to connect, I can understand how unplugging the TV multiple times to access the internet isn't a realistic solution.

 

Have you tried the tips laid out in our Home Theater Troubleshooting Guide? If not, I recommend giving it a look through, as those tricks can help out with a variety of home theater issues.

 

If you're still not connecting to the internet easily after trying those steps, then you should contact Toshiba to see what options you have under the one-year manufacture warranty. They can be reached by calling (800) 457-7777.

I’m in contact with Toshiba but haven’t the receipt. Trying to obtain it from Best Buy in Sarasota, Florida thru the original purchaser whom threw away receipt. Originally Bought in September 2019. Toshiba says a number on the receipt is the key. Serial {removed per forum guidelines}

Thanks for taking the time to share that with me! As you may have noticed, we keep removing the serial number you provided in your posts, as we don't allow personal information of that nature on our public forum.

 

While I would be happy to help track down that receipt, due to our Privacy Policy, we would require that the original purchaser reach out to us through their own account to request that receipt. 

 

If you could ask the original purchaser to create an account and Private Message us their full name, phone number, email and details on the purchase, we can try to track it down and provide them with a copy of the receipt.
