Theater center speaker

I am upgrading my theater setup. I have a 150 inch screen with two definitive tower “9040” speakers. I want to upgrade the center but because of the design of theater it has to be mounted above the screen facing out to the seating. The definitive series is heavy and not mountable, does anyone have ideas or have they done something similar with another product? I’m trying not to mix and match speakers but am out of ideas.

Re: Theater center speaker

My personal belief is you should have matched speakers for all the fronts and sub.

For reference the center I looked at only weighs 20# and is 20.75 inches wide.

Just go to the hardware store and buy some shelf brackets and a board and mount a shelf above your TV.

Make sure and screw the brackets into a studs. It should be well supported.

You can get some nice brackets and stain the wood to match the room

Perhaps get some thin carpet or some sort of pads to put under it to eliminate vibration noise
