What is going on with the inventory in this item?  It was available and a friend was able to buy one then after that they became a specialty item and now have shown a month lead time for the last two weeks.  It appears he is the only person that physically owns one.  I do have a preorder for one through Magnolia.

This TV from Sony is undeniably one of the best I've seen in a while, so I can see why you'd jump at the opportunity to purchase one for yourself!  It looks like this TV isn't currently carried in most local stores, and the soonest available delivery date I'm seeing on our website is in early October.  That said, if you've already pre-ordered through Magnolia, I would expect you should be receiving updates regarding your order via email as they become available.
