Thanks for seeking help here on our forums for your LG Curved TV and Comcast hiccup.
I've never hear of a TV back feeding back into an internet connection causing it to freeze your cable box. Can you please ensure that your TV, and cable box are both up to date? Freezing issues are a common indicator that a firmware update needs to be performed.
Have you reached out to Comcast directly to ensure that you're using the correct box for your new TV? Sometimes they will be able to provide a few troubleshooting steps since they know their cable boxes best.
Often times the quality of the connection can be an issue too. When was the last time you updated your HDMI cable? If you haven't purchased a new one in the last 5 years, then I'd recommend trying a out a newer one.
