Sharp - 43" Class - LED - 1080p - Smart Roku HDTV

Good Morning,

I was curious if anyone has sound issues on their Sharp Roku TV's?

I occasionally get a crackling from the speakers watching certain shows and overall the TV volume seems quite low. I often have to turn the volume to 40-50 just to hear it at a normal level for a lot of shows and movies.

Thanks for the support in advance!

Hi gaultwizard,

Welcome to the forum!  In my experience, any sort of crackling in the sound on your TV generally stems from either the cables with which you connect a device to your TV, or the input/output on the TV and/or your device.  Does this issue occur with external inputs or only when streaming content from the TV itself (e.g.: built-in smart applications)?  If using external devices, how are they connected to your TV, and does this issue occur with all of them?  What's the model number of your TV?

I look forward to hearing from you.

Thank you for the response!

I have the issue on the TV itself. I have no external sound hardware. Unfortunately I don't know the model number at this time but I can get back to you with it once I have it. It is a Roku TV too, so we don't have anything in the inputs that streams video or sound.

Hi gaultwizard,

I appreciate the clarification!  If no other devices are connected to the TV, that narrows down what could be causing this issue.  If you haven't already, I'd suggest power cycling your TV by unplugging it from its power source and letting it sit for a few minutes before plugging it back in.  Then, you can try to perform a factory reset using the on-screen menu.  If neither of those steps work, you may wish to schedule a service appointment with Geek Squad so our Agents can take a closer look.

Hope this helps,
