I bought a Samsung UN55MU6290 and I'm trying to play Netflix (via SmartHub) through the receiver. No matter what I do, it seems the sound only comes out of the TV. When I use the cable box, the 5.1 surround sound works fine. I have an HDMI cable plugged into the ARC port on the TV as well as the ARC port on the receiver. Shouldn't that work? Looking for any advice/suggestions. Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the Best Buy Support Online Forum Community! I appreciate the time you’ve posted to our community seeking our advice. I’m sorry to hear that your new Samsung 55” isn’t working as expected with your receiver when playing Netflix via the Smart Hub. I’d be happy to see what troubleshooting I can provide to you.
Can you please share what model of device you’re connecting your TV to? I’d be happy to determine if connecting via ARC would be the best option available at this time. Have you shut off your TV’s internal speakers through the menu options?
The TV’s manual only shares the following details regarding troubleshooting: Connect an optical cable to the TV and the receiver. ARC enables the TV to output digital sound via the HDMI (ARC) port. However, ARC is only available when the TV is connected to an audio receiver that supports ARC.
I look forward to your reply to continue assisting you further once I have more information about your set up.
