what do I do when trying add a channel and the message I get is "Contact your service provider to add that channel" (or something along those lines) but I am getting that channel from my service provider (on my other non-Roku TV's)?

Hello bartbruner,
Thanks for posting to our community with your question about your Roku enabled TV. I’d be happy to help you answer them.
Is there an option to enter your provider’s details? Please note you may have access to a select channel from your cable provider using your cable subscription, but you may not have access to their on-demand content via an application. For example you may receive the HGTV channel from your cable provider DirecTV, but you may not subscribe to DirecTV’s Now subscription which enables you view on demand content or watch without cable box.
Respectfully,

well, to be more specific, I am watching NFL network on on my regular tv and I get it through my regular cable provider (Comcast/Xfinity). but when I try to go to the NFL network on my Roku TV and I am prompted to enter a code (which I get), then the next screens instructs me to click on my network provider. But Xfinity isnt even an option...just Direct TV or Verizon or Cox or Spectrum...there are like 8 options but no option for Xfinity??? why not? I am paying for the channel.

Hello bartbruner,
Is Comcast an option? Comcast is the parent company of Xfinity. They may have universal login that works for all of their subsidiaries. Additionally, have you reached out Xfinity to see if they have an agreement with NFL network to support this login? They may not, and this could possibly explain why you’re not seeing Xfinity among the login options.
Kindly,

Bartbruner,
Great! Let us know what Xfinity has to say. I’m sure other members of the community are equally as curious as I am.
